Two people have pleaded guilty to drug trafficking in West Virginia, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin reports.

*Amanda Nicole Canaday, 26, of White Sulphur Springs, admitted to having 56 packets of heroin in her apartment that she intended to sell. She faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine at sentencing, which is set for Oct. 30.

*Joshua Daniel Osborne, 31, of Lima, Ohio, pleaded guilty to traveling in interstate commerce to facilitate an unlawful activity, admitting that he made several trips from Alderson, West Virginia, to Columbus, Ohio, to obtain heroin that he brought back to Alderson to sell. He faces up to five years in prison plus a $250,000 fine at his sentencing on Oct. 30.

Their cases were investigated by the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney John File.
