Huntington Police arrested six people during a warrant sweep earlier this week on Sixth Avenue.

The arrest warrants, executed Wednesday, July 16, by the department's Special Emphasis Unit, were obtained in recent weeks as a result of several undercover prostitution stings over the course of the spring and summer.

Taken into custody were:

* Morgan Gibson, 23, of Huntington, an active warrant for first offense prostitution

*Sabrina Morrison, 43, of Huntington, active bench warrant

* Crystal Clay, also known as Crystal Trogdon, of Huntington, two active warrants for prostitution

* Heather Davis, 31, of Huntington, active warrant for paraphernalia

Laura Malone, 43, and Joshua Aaron Tovar, 22, both of Huntington, were also charged after they allegedly solicited officers during the warrant sweep. Malone was charged with loitering for prostitution and Tovar with second offense soliciting prostitution.

“Prostitution is an ongoing problem in the area of Sixth Avenue and we will continue to address it through the summer,” Huntington Police Capt. Rocky Johnson said.

The arrests bring to 20 the total number of prostitution arrests in the Sixth Avenue area from prostitution stings conducted in March, April and May.
