Danielle Swann has joined the Charleston office of Jackson Kelly.

Swann is practicing in the Commercial Law Practice Group and the Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group.

Her legal experience includes litigating commercial banking cases and handling complex multi-party construction matters.

She has extensive experience in government relations, handling clients at the local, state and national levels. She had been with Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso.

Swann is a 2006 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Law, where she was the symposium editor for the West Virginia Law Review, a recipient of the Dennis and Louise Sharp Scholarship and a member of the Marilyn Lugar Trial Association Traveling Team.

She earned her bachelor degree in mathematics, cum laude, from West Virginia University in 2003. She was a WVU Foundation Scholar, a National Merit Scholar and was the recipient of a Robert C. Byrd scholarship.

She is involved in the Defense Research Institute’s Construction Law Group, where she is a member of the national steering committee. She is the 2014 national seminar chairwoman.

Swann also has published and lectured on construction matters, including the 2009 edition of the Defense Research Institute Desk Reference on West Virginia.

Her other involvement includes the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce’s government relations committee, the YWCA Public Policy Committee and the Generation West Virginia Public Policy Committee.
