Taylor County Woman Appears in Court for Alleged Animal Neglect, Gives Horses Up

Posted: Updated:
TAYLOR COUNTY - A Taylor County woman has admitted to not caring for three of her horses at her Flemington farm. She said the horses "could have had better care."

Tina Freeze appeared before Judge Alan Moats on Thursday, August 21, less than a month after the Sheriff's Department seized the horses from her home.

Freeze agreed to give the horses up. A veterinarian evaluated the horses and said all three were underweight, had large abdomens indicating parasites, and were dehydrated.

The horses have been in the care of a Bridgeport resident, as the Taylor County Sheriff's Department works with an animal rescue group to find them permanent homes.

Freeze has not been charged with any crimes at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
