WBOY STORMTRACKER 12 WEATHER SYNOPSIS:
Although some places will just miss the criteria for a heat advisory, the beginning of the work week will be dangerously hot. The combination of temperatures around 90 degrees and dewpoints at 70 degrees, will make it feel more like the upper 90s. It has been some time since the region has felt this type of heat so it’s best to take precautions to beat the heat. If outside more an extended period of time make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, wear lightweight clothing, and take breaks in the shade. Not only will it be hot but the is a very slight chance for a passing shower or thunderstorms. Otherwise, it will be mainly dry, hot, and humid for all of Monday.
There won’t be to much relief from the heat Tuesday. Although temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s, dewpoints will remain in the 70s making it feel hotter. Tuesday will not only continue to be hot and humid but developing thunderstorms will become more widespread throughout the day. Some thunderstorms may be strong but the is no severe threat. Wednesday will be a repeat of Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s along with the chance for showers and storms throughout the day.
Temperatures will remain about average for this time of year, into the end of the work week, which is the low 80s. The viewing area will receive a very short break from the more stormy weather on Thursday. A few isolated showers may hang around for Thursday morning otherwise, conditions will be mainly dry. Unfortunately, the region will head back into the unsettled weather pattern for the end of the week and into the weekend.
Mostly cloudy skies along with another chance for pop up showers and storms is expected for Friday. Unfortunately, the weekend will not be as nice has the previous weekend. Temperatures will be in the mid 80s with a continued chance for scattered showers and storms for both Saturday and Sunday.
MONDAY: Hot and humid. A few clouds with an isolated shower. High: 92. Low: 69.
TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with developing thunderstorms. High: 86. Low: 69.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with thunderstorms becoming more widespread. High: 83. Low: 65.
THURSDAY: Mainly cloudy with a few lingering morning showers. High: 82. Low: 63
FRIDAY: Cloudy with a chance for showers and storms. High: 82. Low: 64.
SATURDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance for storms. High: 85. Low: 67.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with scattered thunderstorms. High: 86. Low: 70.
