Car dealerships across the region began the long process of digging out their inventories Monday.
Employees at University Motors in Morgantown began clearing snow off vehicles Monday morning.
They worked all day, and may have to continue Tuesday, to clear off the more than 300 vehicles on the lot.
University Motors also expects to sell more four-wheel drive vehicles following the massive snow storm.
“People, they’re driving front-wheel drive vehicles and they see themselves stranded, and they say, ‘Well, maybe I need to get a four-wheel drive vehicle,’ so they’ll come and shop,” said Tom Brugnoli, sales manager.
Brugnoli said vehicles like the Toyota RAV-4 are popular in the winter months, but the dealership does expect to see a dip in sales in the aftermath of the storm.
