Upshur County Sheriff Dave Coffman confirmed with 12 News that a body was found Saturday in the Buckhannon River.
Coffman said that the body found was that of Arnold Phipps, 70. Phipps had been missing since Thursday.
Phipps was found in the river around 1:30 p.m, about 400 feet from the Poe Bridge, which spans over the Buckhannon River.
Coffman said he wanted to thank volunteers and emergency personnel who worked in this search.

Emergency personnel resumed a search on Saturday for a missing Upshur County man.
The search resumed around Noon with volunteers along with Buckhannon Police, Buckhannon Fire Department, West Virginia Division of Natural Resources, and the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office.
The man missing is Arnold Phipps, 70. Phipps is said to have health issues.
According to the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office, a car was found Thursday on Poe Bridge over the Buckhannon River.
Upshur County Sheriff Dave Coffman told 12 News that a dive team will continue searching the river until 4 p.m. Saturday, and search teams on foot will continue their search until 5 p.m. At that time, Coffman said teams will gather and determine the next course of action.

Emergency personnel are on the scene at Poe Bridge in Buckhannon, currently searching the Buckhannon River for a missing man, Arnold Phipps, who has health issues.
According to the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department, a car was found on Poe Bridge over the Buckhannon River.
The Buckhannon Fire Department confirmed that a dive team is on scene, along with a helicopter brought in from Charleston. The search has turned up nothing at this time.
Buckhannon Police will continue to search with divers for the next 24 to 48 hours, and the search is ongoing, according to Upshur County Sheriff Dave Coffman.
Poe Bridge is not closed and traffic is moving normally, according to Upshur County 911.
