Downtown Elkins businesses are preparing for the Christmas season a little early with a Christmas Open House on Saturday and Sunday.
Shops like the Kathy’s Decorating and Designs, Elkins Sewing Center and more will be having great deals and discounts on holiday gifts and decorating supplies. Many shops have already started decorating storefronts and setting out holiday merchandise.
“A lot of us do decorating, and a lot of people want to have their Christmas Decorations done by Thanksgiving. This gives them an early start. Plus, your Christmas Club checks come out the end of October; people have that money and they are wanting to spend it and get their decorations bought,” said Kathy’s Decorating and Design Owner Kathy Vance.
Several stores will have extending weekend hours. It may seem early, but the snowy weather has Elkins businesses owners feeling the holiday spirit.
