The city of Clarksburg continues work to open the doors of the Historic Robinson Grand Theater.
City Manager Martin Howe said the project is still on track, as they continue to work with consultants and the steering committee.
The committee is made up of community members who assist in the silent phase of the campaign.
“Currently we are in the design phase of it and nearing completion of that design. Compiling the bid documents, we are anticipating to be out to bid advertising in September. We do anticipate that we will be prepared to award the bid in November with construction to be eligible by the low bid contractor in also November of this year,” said Howe.
The city anticipates the doors to open spring of 2018 for a soft opening, with a grand opening in the fall of 2018.
