Clarksburg Police Find Sleeping Couple In Car With Drugs

A Clarksburg couple was arrested Tuesday after police say they found them asleep in their vehicle and in possession of drugs.

Clarksburg Police found Jamie Brown, 26, and Dustin Parker, 21, passed out in their vehicle, outside of the 4200 building of the Oakmound Apartments.

The responding officer said he knocked on the windows of the vehicle for several minutes before the couple woke up.

The officer then found Parker to have a warrant for his arrest, and he began to search him. The officer said he found two Suboxone pills in a small metal canister on Parker’s keys, and a large amount of cash, numerous small rubber bands and four baggies of methamphetamine in his wallet.

Police then searched the vehicle Brown was still in and found mushrooms, more methamphetamine, numerous small baggies and four cell phones.

Parker and Brown are each charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Parker is currently in the North Central Regional Jail, in lieu of $26,079 bond. Brown has bonded out of jail.
