A domestic violence center received a donation from Marion County High School students.
North Marion High School Student Council hosted the “Pennies from Husky Heaven” challenge.
Students brought in pennies for the reward of a movie in class.
They raised more than $1,200 for HOPE Inc.
Students presented the check today with faculty advisors.
“Our school is really proud of it because most of us here are pretty fortunate, so we just thought it would be a good opportunity to help someone out less fortunate,” said Chey Steen, Student Council president.
