Super hero’s were in full force Saturday evening in Gilmer County, both on and off the basketball court. Glenville Pioneers and Concord Mountain Lions joined together to raise awareness for childhood cancer. Both teams showed off their super hero attire in support of Harrison County’s own hero, 5-year-old Jack Rollins.
“I have a son myself and it’s just touched our hearts, you know, what he’s had to go through and the fight he’s having to go through right now. And our team, you know, just really wanted to do something to kind of help out. You know, we can’t do a whole lot but what we can do is raise awareness by just doing small things like this.” Stephen Dye, Head Coach.
All the funds raised at Saturday’s event will go towards Jack Rollins who has been battling neuroblastoma cancer.
