The Monongalia County Health Department is accepting registrations for “Give Kids a Smile Day.”
This fifth annual event provides an opportunity for uninsured kids to receive free dental services.
The Health Department said kids as young as one-year-old may be eligible for a free check-up.
It encourages families to sign up now while there are still spaces available.
“It’s a great way to get kids in the door that wouldn’t necessarily be seeing a dentist on a preventive basis, and we want to make sure that every child is given the tools that they need to be able to care for their teeth, and that we could also educate parents to give them the tools as well,” said Tiffany Summerlin, a registered dental hygienist at the Health Department.
“Give Kids a Smile Day” is Feb. 5. To register, call the Health Department at (304) 598-5108. Click here to learn more.
