Lewis County Community Thanks Local Law Enforcement

The Lewis County community thanked its boys in blue today

The county celebrated its annual paint the town blue week with a lunch party for city police, county deputies and state troopers at the Weston Fire Department.

County and city officials were there to thank them for their efforts to keep people safe.

That’s a message that organizers said police don’t hear often enough.

“Show them that we do stand behind them, and we do appreciate the jobs they do every day.  we may not say it every day, but we do appreciate it,” said Bryan Reed, an organizer of the event.

Area businesses donated food for the event.
