Lockheed Martin Corp. said its Aeronautics division is seeking to part with up to 1,000 employees.
The company is offering a voluntary layoff program to mid-level employees in seven locations including Clarksburg. In total 9,000 employees are eligible for the layoff but a spokesperson told 12 News that less than a dozen at its Clarksburg location qualify.
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is based in Fort Worth Texas and makes fighter jets.
