One of North Carolina’s top businesses is expanding into West Virginia.
Mako Medical Laboratories recently announced it will offer its genetic technology to both doctors, patients and health care systems.
The company creates a one-time genetic profile for each patient allowing doctors to prescribe the exact medication needed according to each specific genetic make up.
The company said it hires most of its employees straight out of the military.
“The people that are just coming back from overseas having that difficulty finding a job. We hire our logistics team 100% military veterans but military in general is really close to our CEO’s heart,” said Shannon Welsh, Mako Medical Laboratories.
Mako Medical Laboratories has expanded into 14 states.
