Missing Autistic Teen Found Safe

According to Clarksburg Police, the missing teen has been found safe.

Clarksburg Police and Fairmont Police are searching for a missing Fairmont teen, who is mildly autistic and has a bleeding disorder called Von Willebrand Disease.

Shandon Schoonover, 19, was last seen wearing a gray shirt, jeans, and black boots, with a purple bicycle. He has sandy blonde hair, is 5’9″ and 165 pounds.

“He left my home Sunday morning at approximately 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., told his stepmom he was going on a bike ride and would be back in a little while. At around 6 p.m. that evening, his mother contacted me to let me know he was in Clarksburg and had been seen by a few of his friends,” said Shandon’s father. “That is the last known sighting for him. He had told his friends he had to get back to Fairmont. They said he stressed that a lot. He made no contact with his mother, myself, or his younger brother who he is very close to.”

According to officials, he could possibly be in the area of Rich Oil on Milford Street in the Stealey area of Clarksburg or near Monticello Avenue.
