Over 100 Golfers Tee Off To Raise Money For Mon General Hospital

More than 100 golfers teed off today to raise money for a local hospital.

The 8th annual “John Howard Subaru – Mon General Invitational Golf Classic” was held at Lakeview Golf Resort and Spa.

27 teams hit the links in a scramble format.

The tournament expects to raise more than $40,000 for the “Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center” of Mon General.

“When you have local businesses that are supporting good causes, great causes like Mon General, I think it makes the difference in any community,” said Bill Cole, (R), Senate President.

The tournament offered one lucky golfer a chance at a million dollar shot. There is not word yet if they made it.
