After a year and a half of work, an official ribbon cutting was held Thursday afternoon for the Suburban Extended Stay in Fairmont.
Extended stay is for individuals that plan to stay for a week or more.
This hotel is built on to the Clarion Hotel which is a full service hotel.
The work involved installing kitchenettes that included two burner stoves, full size refrigerators, and dishwashers.
“So what you’re getting is an extended stay, with a restaurant, with a bar, with a meeting space. No other product in the marketplace can add that,” said Dale Maurer, General Manager of the Clarion, as well as the Suburban Extended Stay.
City Council members, County Commission, and owner Jay Thacker were present for the ribbon cutting.
