Tow Truck Drivers Asking Drivers To Give Them Space

Most drivers know to pull over for fire, police and EMS vehicles, but area tow companies want drivers to steer clear of them as well.

Waterfront Towing in Anmoore says it sees drivers every day running dangerously close.

It wants people to know tow trucks are emergency vehicles too, and drivers are also required move over.

“Slow down, move over. We are considered an emergency vehicle at certain times, and we just don’t want to get hit. We want to go home to our families, just like they do,” said Waterfront Operations Manager Andrew Boise.

Boise said tow truck operators are six times more likely to be hit than a firefighter or police officer while working along a road.
