UPDATE (8/29/16 at 2:45 p.m.):

Deputies said the stabbing occurred sometime in the early morning hours on Sunday and that Harper, 24, was not transported to the hospital until sometime during the daylight hours. He was taken to United Hospital Center in a private vehicle, deputies said.

Copass was in town from the military, deputies said.


UPDATE (8/29/16 at 11:50 a.m.):

A Lost Creek man is being charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his brother with a sword.

Harrison County deputies said Jonas Copass, 19, stabbed his brother, Theodore Harper, 24, on Sunday.

The investigation began after Harper was declared dead at United Hospital Center just after noon.

Copass told law enforcement he and Harper got into a fight, when he took out a sword and stabbed Harper.


ORIGINAL (8/29/16 at 11:30 a.m.):

A man has been arrested and charged with murder in Harrison County.

Jonas Copass, 19, is in the North Central Regional Jail on a murder charge. There is no bond set at this time.
