UPDATE: Monongalia Sheriff’s Department Releases Name of Victim Following Stabbing

UPDATE (2/22/16 at 6 p.m.):

The victim of the stabbing that took place on Ashwood Lane off Summer School Road last week has been identified.

Justin Cooley, 23, of Morgantown, is currently in Ruby Memorial Hospital in stable condition.


UPDATE 2/18/16 @ 10:34 P.M 

Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man in connection to a stabbing Thursday on Summer School Rd.

Deputies arrested Jesse Kramer, 21, of Morgantown. Kramer was charged with malicious wounding. 

Deputies identified the victim as a white man with multiple lacerations to the head and neck. The victim was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital. No word on the extent of his injuries.

Kramer is in the North Central Regional Jail and will be arraigned Friday, Feb. 19. 


The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed there was a stabbing on Summer School Road Thursday morning.

Two suspects are in custody, deputies said.

There is no word on the extent of injuries.

Chief Deputy Perry Palmer said more details will be released later.
