Solar energy is gaining popularity across the nation, and this week West Virginians will have a chance to learn more about an alternative energy.
The inaugural West Virginia Solar Congress is taking place Saturday in Morgantown.
Various solar energy authorities will speak about the benefits of using solar energy.
Karan Ireland, WV SUN Program Director, said the event is geared towards those with all solar experience levels.
“We hope they’ll come learn a little bit about what’s happening in West Virginia as it relates to solar,” she said. “They can learn a little bit about what our West Virginia policy allows in terms of solar and how that can maybe strengthen. So there’s a lot to learn and it should also be a good time.”
The event will be held at the WVU College of Law. Sign up for the event here.
