Joey Rather, a Parkersburg native, is the newest member of the 12 News Digitial team. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2022 with a B.A. in Interactive Design.
Joey is a sports nut, both for the Mountaineers and anything Las Vegas. He enjoys spending time with his friends talking about the latest game and cheering his team on. He also enjoys fantasy stories and frequently plays Dungeons & Dragons and Skyrim with his friends and fiancé.
His favorite stories to write are ones that tell a story through history. Exploring abandoned buildings and learning the history of the various hollers of West Virginia drives his passion for writing.
