Kevin Redfern joins the Gold and Blue Nation team as a digital content producer. Kevin helps manage the website, digital and social platforms.
A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, Kevin previously worked as site manager of the SBNation blog, House of Sparky, which covered ASU athletics. He also produced digital content for Cronkite News, the news and sports division of Arizona PBS.
Kevin’s sports media career began in his hometown of Glenview, Illinois, where he served as a Sports Director for WGBK 88.5 FM, a non-profit station anchored in Glenbrook South High School. He also spent a summer as the play-by-play announcer for the Joliet Generals, now the Griffith Generals, of the Northern League in Chicago and Northwest Indiana.
An avid sports fan, Kevin’s favorite sports memory was traveling with his dad to see the Wisconsin Badgers beat the previously undefeated Kentucky Wildcats at the 2015 NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis.
