Macon Rollans joined 12 News in March 2023 as a sports anchor and reporter, after graduating from East Carolina University in December 2022. Being born and raised in the coastal plains of North Carolina, she was surrounded by powerhouse sports teams and naturally, was introduced to sports at a very young age.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Sports Studies from East Carolina University and interned with the sports department at Nexstar sister station WNCT during her years in Greenville, N.C.
Macon grew up playing soccer, basketball, tennis and swimming. She loves that she is able to bring her passion for sports into a lifelong career of telling the best sports stories. During her time off, you can find her cheering on her boyfriend at his baseball games, cheering on her brother at his football games or doing anything outside. She is fascinated by all the outdoor adventures West Virginia has to offer.
