Makayla Schindler joined the 12 News team in April 2022, as a Multimedia Journalist.
Makayla is a West Virginia native from the small town of Lost Creek. She graduated from Fairmont State University in 2022 with a degree in Communications and a Multimedia Concentration.
Before joining 12 News in April, Makayla worked with Fairmont State’s student newspaper, The Columns. She also helped create videos for multiple exhibits at Fairmont’s Frank and Jane Gabor Folklife Center.
While Makayla enjoys her job, she treasures her free time. You can find her hiking with her dog Jolie, reading a book at a nearby park or writing poetry to contribute to her future projects.
