Mike Corley

Mike Corley is WBOY-TV’s Chief Videographer and was Live Truck Technician (back when we had live trucks).  12 News viewers have been seeing his award-winning images for 35 years.

During that span, he has traveled all over the country to bring home stories to north central West Virginia.  He has covered 16 bowl games with the WVU Mountaineer Football team, followed Miss West Virginia to eight Miss America Pageants, traveled with the WVU basketball team to The Final Four, two Big East Tournaments, as well as the NIT Championship, been with the Pittsburgh Steelers for five AFC Championship Games, worked for NBC during the Games of the XXVI Olympics in Atlanta and covered nine presidential visits to the Mountain State. 

Corley’s resume also features stories at The White House Capitol Hill, The College Football Hall of Fame, and coverage of two MLB All Star Games and the NFL Draft.  He has also done behind-the-scenes stories at The Today Show, Jeopardy!, QVC and Remote Control. 

His images have also been seen on NBC Nightly News, MSNBC, CNN, Fox News Channel, Inside Edition, The Oxygen Network, E!, Root Sports and ESPN. 

In the past, Mike Corley has also directed WV Tonight, Emphasis and Decision Makers and field produced for Mountaineer Gameday and the Bob Huggins, Dana Holgorsen and Neil Brown coaches shows.
