Nick Farrell

A three-time winner of the Best Sports Anchor award from the West Virginia Broadcasters Association, Nick Farrell is the Executive Producer of Gold and Blue Nation. 

Nick oversees Gold and Blue Nation’s daily operations, including the production of The Neal Brown Show, The Bob Huggins Show, The WVU Coaches Show, Mountaineer GameDay and Mountaineer Minutes. He also manages Gold and Blue Nation’s website and digital operations and co-hosts Mountaineer GameDay.

Previously, Nick served as a co-host of Gold and Blue Nation’s TV programming for four years, traveling across Big 12 country to provide award-winning reporting to Mountaineer fans. Prior to joining Gold and Blue Nation in 2018, he served in various roles, including Sports Director, at WBOY.

Nick’s broadcasting career began in radio, working as a news anchor at WJPA in Washington, Pennsylvania, and as a producer at 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His work as a play-by-play announcer for WVU Athletics has also been featured on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.

A native of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, Nick is a proud graduate of Waynesburg University. He is a sports enthusiast, especially when it comes to soccer. He lives in Morgantown with his wife, Kara, and dog, Millie.
