UPDATE (5/25/18 7:16 p.m.):
Westover Police have released the name of a man killed in a collision Wednesday morning.
Police said Mark Pannrell, 59, was driving south on I-79 near exit 152 when he lost control and crossed the median hitting a vehicle getting onto the I-79 northbound ramp.
Police said Pannrell died in the collision and that he likely suffered either a heart attack or stroke which led to the collision.
Police said the other driver wasn’t seriously injured.
UPDATE (5/23/18 4:20 p.m.):
One person is dead after a vehicle collision Wednesday morning in Monongalia County.
Westover Police said a man was traveling southbound near exit 152 when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the median and hit a vehicle getting onto the I-79 northbound ramp.
Police said it was a t-bone accident.
The male driver died in the collision, but the woman driving the other vehicle did not have any critical injuries, police said.
Police said the male driver may have experienced a stroke that could have contributed to the cause of the accident.
Officers have not released the names of those involved in the accident at this time.

Multiple crews responded to a fatal vehicle accident early Wednesday morning in Monongalia County.
911 officials said the accident occurred at mile marker 152 on Interstate 79 at approximately 6:42 a.m.
The Westover Police Department, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, the Westover Volunteer Fire Department and Monongalia County EMS responded to the scene.
