Emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Moody Run Road in Barrackville Wednesday evening.

911 officials say the call came in shortly before 6:00 for a brush fire.

According to Barrackville Fire Chief Mike Bland, roughly two acres burned before spreading to an adjacent structure. Bland says that the Department of Forestry will investigate.

Volunteer fire departments from Barrackville, Fairview, Farmington, Rivesville, Mannington, Monongah, Worthington, Boothsville, Winfield, Bunner’s Ridge, and Grant Town all responded on scene. The Marion County Rescue Squad was also on scene.

No injuries were reported.

The Barrackville Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank every responding agency for their help.
