A Grafton man was killed in a vehicle accident in Monongalia County early Saturday morning.
Timothy Snyder, 40, was traveling south in a 1970 Chevrolet pickup truck on Grafton Road at approximately 12:25 a.m. when he crossed the center line and struck a 2014 Ford Edge head on, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department.
Snyder was pronounced dead on scene, deputies said.
Four people in the Edge were taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Allison Root, Bryan Hart, Vaugh Trimble and Matthew Abraham were transported from the scene by Mon EMS, deputies said.
Grafton Road was shut down for approximately five hours while deputies investigated the accident Saturday morning.
The Clinton District and Triune-Halleck volunteer fire departments assisted deputies and Mon EMS on scene.
