Emergency crews responded to several accidents on Saturday afternoon that delayed traffic along I-79 North in Marion County.
According to the 911 center, a three-vehicle accident occurred near mile marker 137 at 3:34 p.m.
Four people were transported by ground to area hospitals. No word on their conditions.
West Virginia State Police are handling that investigation.
The Marion County Rescue Squad and Valley and Winfield Volunteer Fire Departments Responded.
The same crews also responded to a separate two-vehicle accident near mile marker 133.
911 officials said it happened at 4:10 p.m.
One person was taken to Fairmont Regional Medical Center. No word on their condition.
State police are also handling that investigation.
