A North Carolina man was killed, and a Fairmont man was seriously injured Thursday in a vehicle accident on Interstate 79 near the West Virginia/Pennsylvania line.
Marion Grabowski, 68, of Monroe, N.C., was pronounced dead on scene after a two-vehicle accident in Greene County, Pa., at approximately 5:30 a.m., according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Grabowski was traveling south on I-79 when he lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median into the northbound lanes. His vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Nathaniel Davis, 19, of Fairmont, who was heading north, police said.
EMS transported Davis to Ruby Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, police said.
