The Boothsville Volunteer Fire Department is advising drivers of a road collapse on Route 73/Middletown Road.

Fire officials said the road has collapsed into the creek between Dean Drive and Rock Union Road because of the heavy rain and flooding in the area.

The West Virginia Division of Highways has been notified, officials said.

Fire officials are asking drivers to slow down in the area to avoid a collision or to avoid going into the creek.
