Crews responded to a two-vehicle accident Tuesday in Taylor County involving a school bus.
Taylor County officials said the call came in at 8:00 am.
Taylor County Sheriff Terry Austin said the driver, Daniel Lee Norman, fell asleep behind the wheel and drove into Taylor County school bus 91, which had 12 to 13 students inside. Officials said the crash was not the fault of the bus driver.
No children were reported injured in the incident. Officials said Norman was self transported to a hospital.
Norman was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, according to Austin.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
