A tractor trailer flipped on its side following an accident on Route 20 in Barbour County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Barbour County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred near Peeltree. Deputies said that the man driving the truck did not speak English, so he was not able to tell them what happened. However, deputies think that the wet roads may have caused the tractor trailer to flip on its side.
According to police, the driver was uninjured and was carrying rolls of aluminum as cargo.
According to the road crews on scene, the accident caused damage to the road, and Route 20 will remain closed from the intersection of 20/57 in Harrison County to the Peeltree area until the wreck is removed. The road will then be one lane until crews can repair the road, which should be Tuesday night, according to the road crews on scene.
