UPDATE (1/9/18 at 12:30 p.m.):
West Virginia State Police have identified the two people involved in a murder-suicide as Ricky Cooper, 36, of Randolph County, and Savanah Bays, 23, of Taylor County.
Troopers say Cooper shot and killed Bays, before turning the handgun on himself.
As of Tuesday, police have not determined a motive.
UPDATE (1/8/18 at 2:20 p.m.):
A woman was killed by her boyfriend before he took his own life inside Novus Auto Glass in Randolph County, according to West Virginia State Police.
Police said the two bodies found were the result of a murder-suicide.
The business owner had arrived for work Monday morning and found an employee and the employee’s girlfriend dead.
Police said it appears the man and woman had been involved in a domestic violence altercation. As a result of that altercation, the woman was killed, and the man then took his own life, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, and further information will be released at a later date, according to police.
West Virginia State Police are investigating after two bodies were discovered Monday morning in an Elkins business.
When employees of Novus Auto Glass opened for the day at about 8 a.m., they discovered two dead bodies inside their establishment, State Police confirm.
Sgt. Doyle said the bodies are that of a man and a woman.
State Police are processing the scene and have not released any information about the victims or exactly what happened.
