On Tuesday, Bridgeport baseball head coach, Robert Shields, commented on Harrison Musgrave’s Major League debut with the Colorado Rockies, Monday night. Musgrave, in his first action as Major League pitcher, tossed a scoreless inning, while striking out one.
“His father said that the first pitch he threw was a strike. He said he thought that was going to calm those nerves of being up in that level. But with Harrison, he’s a pretty calm, cool individual so a lot of that stuff, it’s just old habit to him,” said Shields.
Musgrave is Bridgeport high school and West Virginia University alum.
