East Fairmont High School receives $8,000 worth of weight room donations

Local Sports

East Fairmont High School has received a gift of $8,000 worth of new weight training equipment from Faith Church International in Fairmont. The new equipment includes foam rollers, multipurpose weight bands, a new power rack and more. The donors wanted to make sure the bees athletic teams were up to speed with their facilities.

“Sports are a big part of young people’s lives, and to have the best equipment, to feel like they’re not second-rate, they’re not lagging behind in anything, this helps their self-esteem, and helps motivate them to be successful.” said Dr. John Polis of Faith Church International.

East Fairmont High School head football coach Wes Eddy says his team’s problem last season was breaking down physically toward the end of the season and that this will be instrumental in the team’s success this upcoming season.
