A man who ran away from the area of Preston Memorial Hospital Tuesday was found Thursday night, according to the Preston County Sheriff’s Department.

The Mountaineer Area Rescue Group was contacted and a search began for Joshua Marchman, 29.  The group utilized six search and rescue dogs and more than 36 volunteers, according to deputies.

The group found Marchman around 6:30p.m. Thursday evening in a heavily wooded area.  Deputies said Marchman had fallen about 30 feet and it took emergency crews several hours to rescue him.

Healthnet was called and transported Marchman to Ruby Memorial Hospital, said deputies.  As of Friday he was listed in fair condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital, according to hospital officials.
