Visually impaired students received their chance to hunt for easter eggs Thursday morning.
Kids from several different counties gathered at Bridgeport City Park Thursday for a day of Easter related arts and crafts and of course, the big egg hunt.
The Bridgeport Lions Club sponsored the event which features special home made ‘Beeping’ Easter eggs.
“He started out with just a big Easter egg but when he tried to drill the holes in all it broke,” said Jim Harki of Bridgeport Lions Club. “So, he went to L’eggs, which women get their pantyhose in. That was too thin also. So now we’re using Renuzit eggs and Bill came up with the schematic with the things on the inside that make it work.”
Harki said more than 30 students attended this years event.
