Cancer is the word no family wants to hear..but the diagnosis does have a way of pulling a community together.

This is true for 27 year old Jordan Bailey. He was recently diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer and is currently receiving treatment in New York City. To help raise money for his medical expenses, community members have organized the Bailey Strong Benefit Ride. Along with the ride, Tuscan Sun and Leeson’s in Briddgeport are giving away an ATV.

The event is on June 30 and starts at 9 a.m. at the Bailey Farm on Rock Camp Road in Wallace. The ride will begin around noon but community members can enjoy live music and food and a enter for a chance to win the ATV donated by Tuscan Sun Spa and Leeson’s.

It is a $10 donation to participate in the ride and a $20 donation to enter for a chance to win the ATV. Tickets are availble at Tuscan Spa in Clarksburg and Leeson’s in Bridgeport.

“You can also get #BaileyStrong bracelets at the Tuscan Sun Spa front desk. They are $5. We have a fund that all that goes into and hopefully Jordan will get better and all will be well,” Cheri Satterfield, owner of Tuscan Sun Spa.
