Ballot selfies in voting booths are illegal in West Virginia


You may be tempted to post a photo on Instagram when you hit the voting booth on Tuesday — but selfies with your ballot could get you in trouble in some states.

There are states that don’t allow photographs in polling places or voting booths, or both.

See which states allow, ban, or only allow photos of absentee ballots:

In states where it’s “allowed”, snap away; where it’s “banned”, beware; and in places with specifications about absentee ballots, keep your phone away if you vote in person.
