Visitors to Adaland Mansion spent Saturday afternoon learning the history of the century old barn.

The historical barn was open for ‘Barn Day’, with tools and equipment from the 1800’s showcased. Stations were set up illustrating different heritage skills including spinning, butter making, and cloth creating.

The day shines lights on the heritage and culture of the historic mansion.

“We try to cover different things that people have not done before and they come out and the enjoy their time here while they’re here,” said Betty Carr with the mansion.

The final August event at Adaland Mansion will be tomorrow for a ‘Late Summer Sunday Buffet Dinner’.
