The Barbour County Chamber of Commerce hit the links Friday afternoon to help high school kids pay for college.
The chamber held its annual golf tournament at Bel Meadow Country Club.
Businesses formed teams of four for the ‘best ball’ style of tournament play.
The money raised will go to Philip Barbour High School students.
“We’ve got about one hundred sixty members in our chamber of commerce. So we’re very well supported and we really appreciate everything that the business community does today and throughout the year to support not only the chamber but the high school and the students of Barbour County,” said Mike Cvechko, board member.
The chamber usually provides about $2,000 in scholarship money to graduating seniors.
