The fair kicked off with Irish road bowling, and the Queen’s Pageant. The stage was also full of music and entertainment.
This year’s theme is “Jam Packed with Family Fun,” with a lesson on how to make Barbour County jam with native ingredients given in the opening ceremony.
“We have a variety of livestock, animal sales, draft horses, ATV races, food and competitive exhibits, and commercial exhibits and you pay one price,” Debbie Schoonover, fair chair.
The Grand feature Parade for the fair will start Monday, Aug. 27th at 7pm.
