UPDATE: Boil water advisory lifted for areas of Fairmont


UPDATE (August 21, 2019):

The boil water advisory for Fairmont was lifted on Wednesday.

Water samples have been collected and tested for contaminants. The water is now safe to consume without boiling, according to the city of Fairmont.

ORIGINAL (August 19, 2019):

FAIRMONT, W.Va. – A boil water advisory was issued for an area of Fairmont on Monday.

The boil water advisory is in effect for East Park Avenue, Euclid Street, Dearborn Street and the surrounding areas. The purpose for this advisory is for the repair of a main water line.

Residents of the affected area are advised to boil water before use.
