Families flocked to Bridgeport City Park Thursday for Family Fun Day in the park.
Six years ago the city decided to hold the first-ever Bridgeport Family Day. Organizers said the main focus of the event is to get the community to interact and meet the city’s public safety staff. The police department was giving out ice cones, the FBI offered free finger printing, and emergency squads hosted games for the kids.
“We have a huge car show that is right in front of City Park. We have a rock climbing wall, we have bounce houses. but most importantly we have all of our law enforcement officers here. This is a great way for the community to get to know their law enforcement officers,” said Andrea Kerr, Bridgeport Community Development Director.
If you could not make it out to Bridgeport’s Family Fun Day, Clarksburg will be hosting its Family Fun Day Saturday June 9, at 5pm at the Louis A. Johnson V.A. Park.
