Four Horsemen Comics celebrates Free Comic Book Day

Business

Saturday was free comic book day which happens every year on the first Saturday in May.

To celebrate, Four Horsemen Comics in Morgantown joined other stores around the country in giving away a wide range of comics.

Members of the 501st Rebel legion were there dressed as Star Wars characters.

The event helps to get comics into the community and encourage reading.

More than 50 books were available for people to pick up.

“Ranging anywhere from power rangers, to Pokemon. We’ve got a Spiderman. There’s an Avengers book. There’s a Star Wars book. There really is a little bit of something for everybody. This is a worldwide event. Every comic book on the planet is basically doing this today,” said Ron Davis, Owner of Four Horsemen Comics.

Free comic book day is a promotional effort by the North American comic book industry to help bring new readers into independent comic book stores.
